Juventus: Barcelona and Real Madrid control the Ballon d'Or

Big controversy because of the duo Ronaldo and Messi

Fabio Paratici, Juventus' sporting director, spoke about the Ballon d'Or and confirmed the eligibility of his team's star Cristiano Ronaldo to win the individual prize.

Lionel Messi, the Barcelona captain, won the award this year, while Real Madrid playmaker Luka Modric won it last year.

"It's hard to say that the Ballon d'Or was taken from Ronaldo, there are clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona that have a heavyweight on that award," Paratici said.

He added: "We think that Ronaldo deserved the award this year, and last year he scored 15 goals in the Champions League, six of them in the exclusions."

He continued: "Chiellini said it makes sense because Messi and Ronaldo, like Federer and Nadal, to win a third person the prize other than them is strange."

"At first Conte's vision with them was strange, we know that the race will be with him and will continue until the end, I wish him well, but not much."

Juventus lost the top of Serie A in the last round after a 2-0 draw with Sassuolo and Inter's 2-1 victory over S.P.A.L.
