Zidane: The lead means nothing

The French coach said in a press statement after the meeting: "I told Nacho to step up and be stationed in the first place to finish the game and he has already scored, it is three important points, we are happy, but being at the top of the La Liga does not change anything."

"Nacho is a player we always rely on, he is very professional and he is one of the sons of the club, I am very happy for him. As for offensive sterility, if Karim Benzema doesn't score, the score of the other, I'm happy for Nacho."

"It was a complicated game, the opponent played very well and we suffered in a few moments, but in the second half we played better and we were faster, Valladolid was strong physically in the first half, so it was important to win."

Zidane concluded his remarks by saying: "What we do in defense is very good, we defend as a block, when we lose the ball immediately we start to put pressure on the opponent, and if we do not receive a goal, we have many options to score a goal and that is what happened to us today."
