Real Madrid: Be careful not to rejoice too soon

Although Real Madrid defeated FC Barcelona 2-0, winning La Liga isn’t a guarantee for Los Blancos.

Real Madrid were ready to come out of El Clasico with a win that put them at the highest of the table, which was a breath of fresh air for the fans who have watched their team undergo a slump in recent weeks which saw them lose their spot at the highest of the league and trail 2-1 to Manchester City within the Champions League.

However, it’s easy to urge complacent after a huge win like this but we'd like to recollect that it means absolutely nothing if we don't cash in of it.

As fans, we deservedly celebrated winning the sport against Barcelona after a difficult couple weeks. This win got our season back within the right direction|not off course"> on target with the league now completely in the hands of the team.

Therefore, it’s not hard to urge sucked into the celebrations before realizing that even though the win against Barcelona may be a massive step towards hopefully winning the league, it means nothing within the long-run yet.

Both teams have tons of games coming up and can be got to be completely focused. albeit the matches against Barca and Atletico Madrid are done, that doesn’t mean things are going to be easy from here on out.

Real Madrid did alright against both teams but found themselves dropping points against the ‘smaller’ clubs within the table.

Teams such as Levante, Villarreal and Real Betis are expected to lose to Real Madrid but the squad simply didn’t do enough to urge all three points. Real Madrid still got to play Villarreal and Real Betis during the next few months.

Los Merengues now have 12 games left within the competition:

  • Real Betis (A)

The last time these two sides met, it ended 0-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu. Real Betis aren’t having their greatest season but that’s usually thrown out the window when Real Madrid comes to town. Los Blancos will be got to name a robust lineup capable of taking control of the game.

  • Eibar (H)

Real Madrid beat Eibar during a comfortable 4-0 win during the primary game between the two sides this season but cannot let complacency kick in. This game is going to be played the weekend before we visit Manchester and if Zidane will want to form rotations, he will be got to take care to not take it too far.

  • Valencia (H)

In the league, Real Madrid drew 1-1 with Valencia but beat them within the Spanish Super Cup after a change in formation. Valencia is going to be expecting the five-man midfield again and that they will certainly begin with a stronger showing than the one we saw in Saudi Arabia, which was them performing way below we are wont to see.

  • Real Sociedad (A)

The team we hammer in the league but knocked us out of the Copa del Rey, Real Sociedad are in incredible form this season. It might be argued that they beat us within the cup thanks to Zidane naming a weakened lineup but nobody can deny the quality that they need.

  • Real Mallorca (H)

Real Mallorca was the primary team to beat Real Madrid this season with a 1-0 scoreline. These are the kinds of games that you simply got to win to win the league and Los Merengues will be got to take care when the time comes for this match.

  • Espanyol (A)

Always be wary of the teams fighting for relegation. they have won and can do everything in their power to make sure it happens. Therefore, Real Madrid got to keep that in mind against a team which will begin with everything.

  • Getafe (H)

This is another match that must be taken very seriously to add to the real Sociedad game. Getafe is in spectacular form this season and if they're still fighting for a place in Europe (which they're expected to tend their performances), then this might be a difficult game for Real Madrid.

  • Athletic Bilbao (A)

A team that has had their ups and downs this season but also came out with a point within the last meeting against Real Madrid, Athletic Bilbao always performs better against us and that’s something that the team will need to confine mind.

  • Alaves (H)

Real Madrid barely beat Alaves the last time around but they ought to be ready to win this comfortably at the Santiago Bernabeu.

  • Granada (A)

Granada has found themselves within the mid-table region during the season and that they will want to stay it that way. albeit it’s likely that by the time this game comes around, they won’t have much to play for, that would end up being a dangerous thing.

  • Villarreal (H)

After a 2-2 draw earlier this season, Los Blancos will need to be extremely careful against a really unpredictable Villarreal side.

  • Leganes (A)

The final match of the season is going to be against Leganes who might be relegated by this time if results keep going the way they're. Therefore, Real Madrid might be in luck if it comes right down to the final game of the season.
As you'll see, even though beating Barcelona has helped in additional ways than simply putting us in the first place of the league table, there's still a lot to play for against teams that will genuinely stop Real Madrid from getting all three points during their matches. Of course, Barcelona will have their justifiable share of games but it might be very dangerous to depend upon hope especially once we are on top of things of our own destiny now within the competition.
