Timo Werner key to Mané transfer to Real Madrid

Steve Nicol, the former Liverpool star, has confirmed that there is only one case that will make the club abandon Senegalese star Sadio Mané during the upcoming summer transfer window, namely the contract with Leipzig striker Timo Werner, who offers an excellent season.

Mané has been linked with a move to Real Madrid next summer, with sources claiming that Florentino Pérez is preparing a €150 million offer for his services, on the recommendation of coach Zinedine Zidane, who has shown interest in the player since last summer.

The royal club's task will never be easy by contracting Mané with his high value first, especially with Perez's interest in signing Kylian Mbappé, and Liverpool's unwillingness to sell the player again, although Steve Nicol has a completely different opinion.

One case will make Liverpool give up Mané

Steve Nicol has made it clear that Liverpool could give up Sadio Mané for Real Madrid if a suitable offer is made, but that is conditional on the contract of Timo Werner, who has been watched by Liverpool for some time.

"It would be positive to sell Mané if I brought Timo Werner, unfortunately, there aren't many players like him (Werner), but what if Werner wants to go somewhere else?" said Steve Nicol in a statement to the media.
