Gareth Bale reveals his plans after retiring

Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale has unveiled his plan after retiring from football, saying he is looking forward to working more in business and opening several restaurants in the Welsh capital Cardiff.

Gareth Bale's contract with Real Madrid expires in the summer of 2022, although he joined the Royal team in 2013 for 100 million euros, coming from Tottenham Hotspur, his role has declined in the line-up of Los Blancos during the last two seasons.

Gareth Bale wishes to retire on a golf course:

"I'm not going to continue playing football my whole life, so I'm interested in different projects like restaurants, especially in Wales, because I want Cardiff to grow as much as possible, it's where I was born," Bale said in remarks highlighted by the Spanish newspaper AS.

"I've always focused on football so I didn't drink alcohol so I didn't go out much, but I think with such projects, I'm going to be more social, that's what I'm trying to do, I want to bring people together whether they're drinking or not just to enjoy or simply play golf," he said.

He added: "I have reached a period in my career where I need to think about things other than football because the post-retirement period will be longer than the period of playing football, I have not thought about it yet but now I am 30 years old and I have to be more careful and think more important than sitting on my couch at home. I imagine I'm going to retire on a golf course."
