One obstacle to Marcelo's move to Serie A giants

Despite turning 32, Brazilian star Marcelo, the left-back of Real Madrid and the team's second captain, remains one of the names attracting the attention of Serie A giants Juventus, the national competition titleholder, and Inter Milan.

The Brazilian star is considered one of the most skilled and successful left-backs in Europe, which made the two Italian clubs want to include him in their battalions, as they are the only two clubs in Italy that have the ability to contract with the player, both in terms of name and economic strength, but the last point seems to be the only obstacle in Marcelo's transfer to either club despite the admiration of the player, as explained by the Italian newspaper Calcio Mercato.

Marcelo's salary is a problem for Juventus and Inter Milan

The player's salary of 8 million euros stands as an obstacle in the way of achieving the desire of the Italian stone to sign Marcelo, who is still linked with Real Madrid on a two-season contract, where the Brazilian's salary comes in the opposite direction as both clubs seek to achieve a reduction in salaries within the team.

Nevertheless, the report indicated that the basis for negotiating with Marcelo will be strong and proceeds from the expected loss of his main position in favor of his French colleague Ferland Mendy, who joined Al-Miringi at the beginning of last season from Lyon and managed to gain the confidence of coach Zinedine Zidane.

This may be Marcelo's last chance to play the championship role at the age of 32, but success in completing the deal will be difficult for both Juventus and Inter Milan as well.
