The Colombian midfielder is convinced he is persona non grata in the Spanish capital.

James Rodriguez believes Real Madrid would not be interested in bringing him back to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in the future.

The Colombia international was not part of Zinedine Zidane's plans last season and left for Everton in the summer, as he joined former manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Urged by a fan to return to the Spanish capital when he appeared on Twitch again, James claimed Real Madrid would not be interested in signing him.

"Nobody wants me there anymore," replied James, who went off a two-year loan from Bayern Munich in 2017 before returning to Real Madrid in 2019.

After his return, James struggled to buy time under Zidane, as Real Madrid managed to win the Supercopa de Espana and LaLiga Santander title last season.

The 29-year-old initially impressed on his Everton debut but lacks consistency. However, his creative qualities remain unmistakable and he is determined to meet the challenges the Premier League places on him. The former Real Madrid man recently told Marca Claro that the rumors surrounding his personal future are unfounded.

"We all know this is a new step for me"

"I'm happy. We all know this is a new milestone for me. At almost 30, I'm fine. I'm happy about every new thing that comes into my life. It all adds up. C 'was tough against Liverpool. Everyone knows Liverpool is a great team. I think they are in the top three teams (...) I'm happy I helped my team win. Everton didn't have won at Anfield since 1999, so we made history, "noted the Colombian.

"I'm glad to be here. I hope we can continue well," added James Rodriguez, whose number 10 position has been losing influence over the years. "Football is very physical now. There are teams that don't have a lot of quality, but they want to win by force by making mistakes. We are ready in every game and what we want to do is play well. Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't, but hey… it's part of football, "he said.
