Officially. Luka Modric player of the month at Real Madrid

Real Madrid unveiled the player who won the "January" player of the month award at the Royal Club by public vote, in an official statement, on Thursday evening.

The Royal Club announced that the Croatian midfielder won the award for best player in the team coached by Zinedine Zidane last month.

Modric participated in four games with Real Madrid in January alone, and made an orphan goal in the game Deportivo Alaves, and helped his team to win against Celta Viejo with a double without reply, then draw with Osasuna without goals, and then victory over Alaves by a goal, before concluding the month by losing against Levante 2-1.

Modric expressed his great happiness to win the award, thanking the fans of Real, who gave him the votes to succeed in winning the award for the players' returns during the month.

"I would like to thank the fans for their support and lasting love, I am very happy to receive the award," Modric told Real Madrid's official website.

"We achieved good results in the last period, the past week was special and we managed to win three very important matches," the player added.

"We played well against Getafe and Valencia and our goal is to continue to follow the same path in the coming period," Modric said.
