Real Madrid have not lost at home to Valencia in 13 years

On Sunday, Real Madrid will host Valencia at the Alfredo Di Stéfano Stadium in the 23rd round of la Liga, while Real Madrid is armed with a statistic that gives them optimism against Valencia.

The royal club suffered a heavy defeat against their opponents today during the first round match hosted by Mestalla Stadium with four goals against one goal, in a match that saw the calculation of three penalty kicks in favor of the owners of the land.

Real Madrid has suffered in recent times, having lost three of their last six matches. The team fell to Athletic Bilbao in the semi-finals of the Spanish Super Cup and then against Alcoyano in the Copa del Rey, before beating Deportivo Alaves, to return to the loss against Levante in La Liga.

The royal club succeeded in modifying its course during the last two games after winning each of Huesca 2-1 in the 22nd round of la Liga and then against Getafe 2-0 in the postponed match of the first round.

Coach Zinedine Zidane hopes that the recent positive results against Valencia will continue while armed with a positive statistic, as Real Madrid have not lost at home to Valencia in nearly 13 years, specifically when they fell 3-2 at the Santiago Bernabéu in March 2008.

Since that match, Real Madrid has won at home against Valencia on 8 occasions, and have drawn in five meetings. The last draw between the two teams at Real Madrid was in 2017 in the second round of the 2017-18 season with a 2-2 victory.
