He was scheduled to appear against Huesca

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has been shocked by the fact that Sergio Ramos, the team's captain, underwent knee surgery.

Real Madrid has lost Ramos in the last three matches of the team, due to a problem with the meniscus of his left knee, after injuring against Athletic Bilbao in the Super Cup.

The veteran defender was scheduled to return to form the team again, during the clash with Wisca, on Saturday, in the 22nd round of la Liga.

The Spanish newspaper "as" confirmed the exclusion of the player from the list of Real Madrid, due to the decision of the club to undergo surgery this morning.

This is due to the player's discomfort in his knee, during the team's training last days in preparation for the clash with Huesca.

According to the Spanish network COPE, the operation will keep Ramos off the field for six to seven weeks and maybe up to two months.

Zidane's crisis is becoming increasingly crisis-a-side, with winger Eden Hazard recently missing a muscle injury.

Real Madrid is now playing against Huesca, who are in third place with 40 points, 10 points ahead of La Liga's Atlético Madrid.
